Quarterback Doug Flutie reigned supreme at Boston College, where his November, 1984 “Hail Mary” pass was widely reported and is usually included in any list of “Greatest Moments in College Football”. For his many achievements, Flutie was awarded the prestigious Heisman Trophy in 1984. Doug Flutie went on to a long career in professional football, playing for teams including the Buffalo Bills, San Diego Chargers and New England Patriots. An 8-year stint as an all-star in the Canadian Football League ended in 1998, when he returned to the NFL, where he continues to play.
