Collection of 9 real photo postcards circa 1917, with four gems depicting a very young George Herman Ruth. Two identical images of the lefty hurler posed in his Red Sox uniform with glove and ball. Wow. A different, but equally magnificent shot of Ruth, shows him again in BoSox garb front and center. The final one with Ruth has him in the background on the bench with a smirk on his mug. A teammate is the primary subject in this photo. There is also one of the man that sold The Bambino to the Yankees, Harry Frazee (yea, he doesn't look too bright in this image). Another shows Red Sox catcher Hick Cady in the foreground, with a curious African-American looking on. One of an unknown player in the distance; lastly, two postcards of the photographers themselves. The backs of these never-seen postcards are unused. Overall condition is about Excellent, with only some minor corner wear keeping the group from being called Near Mint.
