Scrumptious images from the original negatives are each a Herculean 16x20” and beautifully framed. This is the best Bruce, early and full of jive, jazz, and juice. They show the bearded Boss 1) performing with a satiny Clarence and Max with disco ball overhead, 2) in the studio with retro headphones wearing as big smile and playing the vaunted Esquire, 3) mussing on stage with a muted Clarence smiling in background, 4) seated in chair playing a Gibson acoustic predating Nebraska by a God’s age, 5) peaking out from behind the bathroom (?) door. Each are signed and numbered (67/195) by the artist Phil Ceccola, perhaps the best known of the early Bruce shutterbugs. The photographer recently lost a three-year battle with brain cancer and passed away tragically at the age of 48. NRMT.
