Perhaps the finest and earliest known Hull signed photo, dated on the back February 18, 1956 in blue ink that matches the ink of the signature, thus likely signed on that date. Which would explain why Hull wears a No. 16 in the picture, not his famous 9. At the time he was still in the minors, not to be called up until the 1957-58 season. Signature, then, is amazingly rare, and grades a high 8/10. Image of the youthful looking Hull, showing that even as a 17-year-old kid he was built like a boulder, is 4 1/2 x 9" and set into an overall 8 x 10 that is in EX condition with light damage along the edges, fold markings on the corners and a few creases here and there.
