This life-size wax figure of Babe Ruth, definitely a late-model Babe, judging by the Sultan-sized belly, is so real looking that one might be tempted to hide the women, children and refrigerator. The sculptor took great pains to get it all right, from the flannel Yankee uniform, long-sleeved sweatshirt and cleats to the ruddy face, jowls and somewhat droopy eyelids, a snapshot of the Babe playing a few extra innings off the field. Even the bat he's leaning on is a Ruth model, and the soiling on the shirt possibly a product of a few potato chips. Some cracking of the face (age lines?) but overall an EX Babe copy, big in every way from top to bottom.
