Clark Griffith was one of the most influential men in baseball history, as first a succesful player, then as a manager and then finally as a team owner. His 64 year career is unsurpassed in baseball annals and is challenged only by the likes of Connie Mack and Charles Comiskey. In 1915, when this card was issued, Griffith was the manager of the AL's Washington Senators, the team that he's most closely identified with. The card is completely clean, from a mail-in set and obviously has been preserved and protected over the years. The brightness and eye appeal are off the charts and the card is simply one of the most visually appealing examples imagineable! Strong Near Mint to Mint condition.
