Hear ye', hear 'ye - collectors: if you don't know who Smokey Joe Wood is or why his cards sell for so much money compared to other non-Hof'ers, then go straight to your local bookstore and find a tome about baseball history. You'll read about a young man with one of the best, livliest arms EVER who, on the verge of a HOF career, damaged his prized wing and never got it right. Think Walter Johnson, think Christy Mathewson, think Nolan Ryan - this guy would be right there with them if not for the injury. Don't believe me? Well, the last season that he was healthy, Joe went 34-5 with 10 shutouts and a 1.91 ERA and lead the Red Sox to the World Series championship. This PSA 8 1915 Cracker Jack is totally spectacular, missing the Mint 9 grade due only to the faintest corner touches at the very tips. Awesome!
