An eclectic selection of Presidential autographs spanning almost 200 years of American history. Includes: John F. Kennedy TLS penned on United States Senate letterhead, dated 1955, addressed to John J. Rooney of the House. He signs a familiar, "Jack" (perfect "10"). A typical Washington thank-you letter for a kind message etc. Beautifully framed with a photo, plaque and a Kennedy half-dollar (26x22"). Another Kennedy TLS dated 1958 on US Senate Labor Committee letterhead, prepares key Democrats against Republican onslaught on the subjects of national defense and labor reform. He refers to two enclosed speeches which are not included. Signature is NRMT and letter is EX-MT. William Howard Taft TLS, exceptionally large sig on his letterhead just weeks before he would be elected in a landslide October 9, 1908. Letter has outstanding content relating to Judicial branch of government. Letter & sig NRMT. James Monroe signed land grant as Governor of Virginia on March 20, 1801. He was Governor of Virginia until Jefferson asked him to negotiate the Louisiana Purchase with France. Signature and condition overall is VG. 15.25x12". Theodore Roosevelt signed steamer baggage tag. Signature is bold and clear, but baggage tag is worn and barely legible. An1841 dinner invitation signed by President John Tyler (secretarial) framed in gold leaf and velvet. Richard Nixon signed 1973 Inaugural Guide (cover) and a signed 1983 Presidential seal birthday card. The signature on the guide is overall NRMT and the card is VG (light).
