AFTRA contracts signed in the 1940s by Robinson and the great actress with whom he would team up in the movie of his life, "The Jackie Robinson Story" in 1950. Jackie's contract is dated November 15, 1948, the year after he broke baseball's color line. Dee, who played his wife Rachel in the film, inked hers on October 18, 1945. Robinson's clear, crisp signature in blue-black ink is is 10/10, as is Miss Dee's lefthanded signature. A sidelight is that Robinson wrote in his Brooklyn address and phone number at the time.
