Intriguing “Kennedy 60” tie bar is from the collection of Mark Barry, an early JFK collector and whose father was a close associate of the President’s. This piece was given to Mark Barry’s by future Kennedy White House Chief of Staff Ken O’Donnell. During the 1960 campaign, he took it right off of JFK’s tie and gave it to him. The father in turn presented it to his son and it became one of the first pieces for his Kennedy memorabilia collection. Rendition of the PT-109 patrol boat he commanded, that became one of the guiding lights of his campaign and a symbol of pure heroism, it is a fascinating analogy to the political and human sides of our beloved President. 1.75” in length and EX-MT. LOA from Mark Barry explaining the provenance.
