Pittsburgh Pirates home jersey worn by perennial All-Star outfielder and former National League batting champion Al Oliver in 1976. The white knit jersey is lettered "Pirates" across the front and features the number "16" on the left breast and reverse. All letters and numerals are applied in black on gold tackle twill. Located on the interior right front tail are a "Rawlings 42" label, a flag tag bearing the year "1976," and a second flag tag reading "Set 1." A National League Centennial patch adorns the left sleeve. Oliver has signed the jersey in black marker (grading 7/10) on the front, below the number. The jersey is original as issued and displays heavy wear, including light, scattered staining on the front and reverse, a few tiny tears, and minor separation along the stitching of the numeral "1" on the reverse.

Oliver enjoyed another banner season with the Bucs in 1976, batting .323 with 12 home runs, and 61 RBI, numbers which helped earn him a twelfth-place finish in the MVP balloting at season's end. One of the top hitters in baseball during his eighteen Major-League seasons (1968-85), he finished his career with 219 home runs, 1,326 RBI, and a .303 lifetime average. LOA from PSA (for the signature only).
