Modern recreation of an electric street sign that points the direction for fans to purchase tickets for Boston Red Sox games at Fenway Park. This is a unique Fenway Park/Boston Red Sox item because although it was never used as a directional Fenway Park sign, the main chamber is an actual vintage light chamber. The modern recreation is the circular convex front panel that features an image of a baseball batter, with the red lettering reading "Fenway Park Boston Red Sox Tickets." An arrow pointing right appears below the text. The red coloring is produced by a panel of red glass on the interior, with the lighting produced by a single bulb and silvered reflector. Produced by the Eagle Signal Company, as noted on the reverse (the Eagle Signal Company logo also appears on the front). The Eagle Signal Company, which is still in business, was one of the major producers of street lights and signs after World War II.

The large metallic sign displays a hole along the top and base, most likely for its attachment to a pole. The electrical cord is not original to the piece. It was installed by our consignor so that the piece could be conveniently turned on and off for display in the home. The main metallic light chamber is all original and displays wear commensurate with its age and former outdoor use, including several minor nicks, scratches, and abrasions.
