Kevin Stevens was the left wing on the Pittsburgh Penguins line centered by Mario Lemieux when the Penguins won back-to-back Stanley Cups in 1991 and 1992. Displayed is a 1991 Kevin Stevens Pittsburgh Penguins signed game issued jersey. Stevens had amazing seasons in 1990-91 and 1991-92. In 1990-91, he had 40 goals and 46 assists for 86 points. The next season, when Pittsburgh won its second consecutive Stanley Cup, Stevens was even more amazing as he scored 54 goals and added 69 assists for 123 points, along with 254 penalty minutes as he became only one of four players in NHL history to have over 100 points and over 200 penalty minutes in the same season. Although Stevens had another fine year in 1992-93, his performance began to decline after that. In total, he played for five NHL teams and notched 329 goals, 397 assists, and 726 points. In 2016, when he was an NHL scout, he was convicted of selling OxyContin and he admitted to being addicted to pain killers since 1993, when he was still playing. After his recovery from addiction, Stevens and his sister established a foundation to help others beat addiction.

The offered signed, polyester jersey has both a Maska manufacturer's (with his number "25" written in black marker by an unknown hand) and a size "54" tag in the collar. On the chest is the Penguins logo. Both sleeves have "25" in sewn-on black numerals with white trim. The left sleeve has a patch reading, "1931-1991 BADGER." The patch was created to honor Bob Johnson, the head coach of the Stanley Cup winning Penguins in 1990-91 and formerly associated with the University of Wisconsin Badgers. Johnson was also the head coach the next season before he passed away in November of 1991. The right sleeve has an NHL 75th Anniversary patch. Inside is a fight strap. On back is a black sewn-on nameplate with "STEVENS" in sewn-on gold lettering. Below the nameplate is "25" in sewn-on gold numerals with white trim. On the back, outside tail are two tags: A sewn-on "CCM" and a sewn-on "NHL" tag. The jersey does not show signs of wear. Stevens signed his name in blue marker on the "2" numeral section of his "25" on back. The signature actually appears to be a neat but quickly written signature that appears as "Ken Stev" or "Ken Stu." The jersey is in EXCELLENT condition.
