Presented is a 1906 Philadelphia Base Ball Club Team Supplement photo, appearing in The North American. The black & white photo measures 10.2x15". Pictured players, left to right, top row: Gleason, Doolin, Ritchie, Moren, Duggleby, Kane, Titus, Nichols. Middle row: Bransfield, Ward, Dooin, Sparks, Duffy, Pittinger, Lush, McCloskey. Bottom row: Sentelle, Donovan, Magee, Thomas, Crist. The 1906 Phillies finished in 5th place in the NL, at 71-83. Hall of Famers in the photo: Hugh Duffy, also the manager. Played his final three seasons with the Phillies. Batted a lifetime of .324 and led the NL in batting average in 1893 (.326) and 1894 (.440), the highest yearly batting average in MLB history. Kid Nichols had a lifetime record of 362-208. Kid Gleason wasn't a Hall of Famer, but he was both a Major League pitcher and second baseman and the honest manager of the 1919 Chicago White Sox, often called the Black Sox after some of their players conspired with gamblers to throw the 1919 World Series.
The black & white photo measures 10.2x15". It reads, "PHILADELPHIA BASE BALL CLUB." The photo has a significant water stain in the left margin, and what appears to be another water stain in the right margin. There is corner wear, and tears on both the left and right margins, and a tiny tear at the top.
