Tober "Suburban League" baseball signed in either blue or black fountain pen by the following six members of the circa 1932 New York Yankees: Babe Ruth (sweet spot), Lou Gehrig (alone on a side panel), Herb Pennock, Ben Chapman, Jumbo Brown, Ivy Andrews, and one other (illegible). The Ruth and the Gehrig signatures are the two finest examples on the ball, with the Ruth signature grading 6/10 and the Gehrig signature grading 7/10. The remaining signatures average 4/10. This ball comes with a unique provenance. According to our consignor, his father was related to Herb Pennock. When his father was a child, Herb Pennock invited him and his family to a game and afterwards, he was brought into the Yankees clubhouse, where he obtained the signatures on this ball personally. The ball remained stored in a drawer for decades until it was passed on to our consignor after his father's death. The ball is moderately toned and displays a few small abrasions. Full LOA from PSA.
