Christmas card signed on the interior by Hall of Fame first baseman Lou Gehrig. The legendary "Iron Horse," has scripted his name in black fountain pen, with the signature grading 8/10. This was a custom Christmas card made especially for Gehrig, as it features his initials "LG" printed directly above the interior printed holiday message. Signed Christmas cards by Major League players are rare, especially those signed by Hall of Famers of Gehrig's stature. This example, as well as several others in this auction, all originate from the same consignor, whose husband spent decades amassing one of the largest such collections we have ever seen. The fold-over card (5.25x8"; folded), which is split completely in two along the spine, displays a heavy horizontal fold, as well as several other moderate-to-heavy creases. Full LOA from PSA.
