Small sheet of unlined paper inscribed in pencil by Hall of Fame first baseman Lou Gehrig. PSA has encapsulated the sheet and certified the signature as "Authentic." Gehrig has signed the sheet "Best Wishes Dave/Lou Gehrig," with both the inscription and signature grading 9/10. This sheet originates from a vintage 1930s autographed scrapbook that appears as a separate lot in this auction. While there is no year listed on the offered sheet, all the other signed items in the scrapbook date from either 1934 or 1935 and this piece is probably no exception. The sheet (5x2.75"), which is unevenly toned, displays a moderate vertical crease near the left border (not affecting the signature).
