A Louisville Slugger model S2 bat used by baseball's hit king Pete Rose during the late 1960s (labeling period 1965-68). The uncracked bat is 36" long and weighs 31.9 ounces. Rose's number 14 is written on the knob. The bat features extensive wear, with ball marks and seam marks all over the barrel and a light coat of pine tar on the handle. The lot includes a Letter of Grading and Authenticity from PSA/DNA and the service has assigned a grade of Game Used 9.5, making it one of the finest examples of a Rose game used bat. Major League Baseball recently removed the Hall of Fame ban on Rose, who passed away in 2024, and the legendary player could soon be inducted.
