Presented is a photo display with the signature of music legend David Bowie. Bowie was born as David Robert Jones in 1947 in London, England. When he started to make progress in his later musical career, he adopted the name David Bowie so that he would not be confused with Davy Jones of the Monkees. Bowie was greatly inspired when he was a boy when his father brought home a collection of 45s from America: The Platters, Fats Domino, Little Richard, and Elvis Presley. Bowie said that to him, when he heard Little Ricard's recording of "Tutti Frutti" that he thought Little Richard was the "Voice of God." Bowie was a singer, songwriter, and also a musician. He played keyboards, guitar, saxophone, and harmonica. He also became an actor who was in over 30 films, television and theater works. His most noted acting performance was in the film The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976). After performing in a variety of bands in England, his first Top 5 UK hit was the single "Space Oddity." His first album was a self-titled solo album. He constantly changed his style on stage, and he often had a strong visual element to his music. His first United States cross-over hit was "Fame" (1976). Called the "Chameleon of Rock," he incorporated myriad types of music into his recordings and shows - rock, blues, folk, heavy metal, etc. Bowie, who passed away in 2016, received six Grammy Awards, and four Brit Awards. He was also one of the greatest recording artists in history, with estimated worldwide record sales of over 100 million. 

The offered photo display has a 7.5x9.5" color photo of Bowie, matted and framed to 13.3x19.5". Underneath the Bowie photo is a 3x5" piece of paper or light card stock, reading, in part, "ISOLAR/641 FIFTH AVENUE/SUITE 220/NEW YORK, NY 10022/PHONE 212-308-9345... WITH COMPLIMENTS." Under the above, Bowie, in black ink, scripted his signature and added the inscription " '93." There is some obvious chipping of the black coating on the wood at the bottom of the frame, but under the frame and clear plastic covering, everything else is in EXCELLENT condition. The offering comes with a PSA LOA for the signature.
