Bob Dylan, born as Robert Allen Zimmerman in St. Louis County, Minnesota in 1941, is one the world's foremost singer-songwriters. Dylan admired the poetry of Dylan Thomas, so he took "Dylan" as his stage name. He came to New York City in 1962, pursuing his musical career. He managed to start performing in small clubs in Greenwich Village. His first album was simply called Bob Dylan (1962). In the following years, he had popular recordings of the singles "Blowin' in the Wind" (1963) and "The Times They Are a-Changin'." His folk songs started to become anthems for the civil rights and anti-war movements. In 1965, he caused quite a stir among his fans when he played an electric guitar instead of an acoustic guitar at the Newport Jazz Festival. Over nearly seven decades of singing and performing, Dylan has sold an estimated 125 million worldwide recordings. He has won an Academy Award, 10 Grammy Awards, and a Golden Globe Award. He also won a special Pulitzer notice and a Nobel Prize in Literature, for his song lyrics. He is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. In 2025, a Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown, was released. It starred Oscar-nominated Timothee Chalamet as Dylan. Dylan continues to perform in 2025.

The offering includes the Dylan handwritten lyrics to his song "Wiggle Wiggle" (1990). Written in black pen on an 8.4x11" piece of paper, the lyrics have stanzas such as the first: "Wiggle, Wiggle, Wiggle, Every time of Day/Wiggle, Wiggle, Wiggle your life away/Wiggle, wiggle, Wiggle the entire song/Wiggle 'til the Break of Dawn." The page contains four stanzas, and it is a fascinating look into Dylan's active creativity, as the page has numerous cross-outs, squeezed in additions, and corrections. "Wiggle Wiggle" was performed in at least 105 live Dylan performances, from Jan. 12, 1990, through August 20, 1992. Also included in the offering is a Bob Dylan handwritten set list from his time with The Traveling Wilburys. The set list is on a piece of white paper measuring 8.4x11.4". It includes over 20 songs, such as "Prayin'," "Wick Burns," "La Bamba," "Marie, Marie," "Wiggle, Wiggle," and "I Fought the Law." The set list is in a beautifully rough form, with abbreviations, cross-outs, circling of some songs, etc. Both the "Wiggle, Wiggle" lyrics and the Wilburys set list pages show some darkening. The charm of both the lyrics and the set list is that they were both written by Dylan and that they are in a rough form. The offering also includes some machine printed song lyrics to Dylan songs, source unknown.
