Government postcard signed by Jackie Robinson in blue fountain pen. PSA has encapsulated the card and graded the signature MINT 9. Written to a fan, Robinson has inscribed the card "Best wishes Bob/Sincerely/Jackie Robinson." The card is postmarked "Vero Beach, FLA Mar 10 1949," indicating that it was sent by Robinson during spring training. 1949 marked Jackie Robinson's finest overall season, as he led the National League in both batting average (.342) and stolen bases (37), while also totaling 16 home runs and 124 RBI. Those numbers resulted in his winning the Most Valuable Player Award at season's end. The postcard (5.5x3.25") displays minor toning and light creasing throughout.
