Displayed is a Joe Torre signed (GEM MINT) and inscribed American Express postcard. Torre, a Hall of Famer, played for 18 Major League seasons: Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves (1960-68), St. Louis Cardinals (1969-74), New York Mets (1975-77). Torre was primarily a catcher in the early years of his career, and later in his career he was a first baseman and third baseman. He batted a lifetime .297, with 2,342 hits and 252 home runs. His best playing season was 1971 with St. Louis, when he led the NL in batting (.363) and RBI (137) and was the NL MVP. He managed five teams: New York Yankees, New York Mets, St. Louis Cardinals, Milwaukee Braves, and Los Angeles Dodgers, and he was a World Champion manager with the New York Yankees in 1996 and 1998-2000.

The offered postcard measures 4.25x6". It reads, "ARE YOU A CARDMEMBER?" Torre is shown, in a generic jacket and a generic baseball cap. Torre, using fine tip blue marker, signed a neat, bold signature and added "HOF '14." Under the signature, is a machine printed "MEMBER SINCE 70." The back of the postcard reads, "Joe Torre, American Express Cardmember since 1970," and "MAX RACKS/MAX RACKS FREECARDS. Locations in major cities, cinemas, colleges, record stores and Tokyo." The signed postcard has been encapsulated and PSA/DNA CERTIFIED AUTO GRADE GEM MINT 10. The postcard is in EXCELLENT condition.
