Walt Frazier New York Knicks pro-model jersey, dating from the 1975-77 manufacturing period, signed by Frazier on the reverse. Graded A5 by MEARS. This jersey is somewhat of an enigma because, as MEARS notes in its accompanying LOA, it is a pro-model New York Knicks jersey, produced for Walt Frazier, but it is a size 40, which is two to three times smaller than the jerseys he normally wore during his career (nearly all Walt Frazier game-used jerseys we have seen are usually size 44 or size 46). The size anomaly is the reason MEARS deducted a full five points from its final grade (there were no other deductions; just for the size). Even more puzzling is the fact that the jersey shows outstanding wear, and was obviously worn for an extended period of time. According to our consignor, he obtained this jersey from Walt Frazier's nephew, but there is no additional documentation accompanying the garment. While this is purely speculation, it's possible Frazier had the Knicks make up a jersey for his nephew, in the nephew's size, but we will never know for certain. Except for the size, it is identical in every way to a New York Knicks jersey worn by Frazier during the mid-1970s. 

The blue mesh jersey is lettered "New York" across the front and features the number "10" on the front and reverse. "Frazier" is lettered on the reverse, directly above the number. All numerals and front lettering are applied in orange on white tackle twill. All reverse letters are applied in white tackle twill. Both a "Cosby" label and a "Medalist/Sand-Knit 40" label appear on the left front tail. Frazier has inscribed the jersey "Walt Frazier #10" in black Sharpie (grading 9/10) on the reverse numeral "1." The jersey is original as issued and displays heavy wear, including puckering to numerals. Full LOA from MEARS (base grade of 10, with 5 points deducted for the smaller size). Full LOA from PSA (for the signature only). There is also a hologram label from Halloffamesports.com (for the signature) affixed to the reverse numeral "1."
