The Brooklyn Dodgers won National League pennants in both 1941 and 1947 and offered is a press pin pair for each of those two seasons. In '41, the Dodgers had a 100-54-3 record to win the NL crown, but Brooklyn lost the World Series in five games to the New York Yankees. The '41 Dodgers had Hall of Famers Pee Wee Reese, Ducky Medwick, Billy Herman, Paul Waner, and Leo Durocher (mostly in the HOF for his managing). In 1947, Jackie Robinson broke the modern Major League "color line" and was the NL Rookie of the Year. Also, on the '47 Dodgers, managed for all but the first two games of the season by Burt Shotton, were Hall of Famers Pee Wee Reese, Gil Hodges, and Duke Snider. The Yankees won the '47 World Series in seven games.

The '41 World Series metal press pin has a diameter of approx. 0.8". Brilliantly colored in red, white, and blue, the front of the pin reads, "1941/BROOKLYN DODGERS WORLD SERIES/PRESS." The back has a working fastener to hold the pin in place on a shirt or jacket. The '47 World Series press pin has a terrific Brooklyn design: The face shows a raised, semi-three-dimensional image of the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. Angling horizontally across the bridge is the image of a baseball bat. Lettering on the face reads, "WORLD SERIES * PRESS - 1947." The pin has a diameter of approx. 1", and on back is a working fastener to attach the pin to one's clothing. Both pins are beautiful and in EXCELLENT condition.
