A vintage circa 1930 Hanna Batrite professional model/pro stock bat of National League MVP Jim Bottomley. The brown bat was made by Burke Batrite of Athens, Georgia, and Bottomley's name is stamped onto the barrel. The item is 35.0" in length and weighs 31.4 ounces. The item will include a PSA Taube COA. As stated by PSA, the bat is un-cracked and shows evidence of excellent use. However, since player ordering records for Hanna bats are not available, the use cannot conclusively be attributed to Bottomley. A first baseman, Bottomley played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, and St. Louis Browns from 1922 through 1937. Bottomley, the 1928 National League MVP, was a career .310 hitter and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974.
