Hall of Famer Yogi Berra played in the Major Leagues from 1946-63 & '64, all but his last season - with the New York Mets - for the New York Yankees. Displayed is a ticket stub from the September 22, 1946, game between the Yankees and the Philadelphia Athletics at Yankee Stadium when Yogi not only made his Major League debut but hit his first Major League home run. Berra won an amazing 10 World Championships. He was a 3-time AL MVP, with 358 home runs. Later, he would be a Major League coach and manage both the New York Mets and the Yankees. In Berra' debut, he batted eighth and caught. Berra hit a 2-run homer off Jesse Flores in the bottom of the 4th inning, and he added a single, handling pitcher Spud Chandler to a complete game 4-3 win.
