Presented is a 1970s game used and signed Graig Nettles bat. Nettles played 22 Major League seasons: Minnesota Twins (1967-69), Cleveland Indians (1970-72), New York Yankees (1973-83), San Diego Padres (1984-86), Atlanta Braves (1987), Montreal Expos (1988). The 6-time All-Star won a pair of Gold Gloves for his third base play. He batted a career .248, with 2,225 hits, 390 home runs, and 1,314 RBIs. He was a 2-time World Champion with the Yankees. Nettles was mainly known for his clutch hitting, defense, and sense of humor. He once said that as a boy his ambition was to join the circus and play baseball, and that in playing for the Yankees, "I was able to do both!" Nettles' best season was in 1977 when he won a Gold Glove and led the AL in homers with 37.

The offered bat is a Louisville Slugger, with the term etched on the label and on the barrel. Also, etched on the barrel is GENIUNE S44 (Model) and Graig Nettles' facsimile signature. Nettles' number "9" is written, by an unknown hand, on the knob in black marker. Nettles neatly signed the barrel in a bold signature in blue fine tip marker. The bat shows pine tar residue on the upper handle. The handle has been shaved, and there are ball marks in many areas and a few dings on the barrel. The offered bat is 34.75" in length, and it weighs 31.5 ounces. The bat exhibits nice use, and yet remains in fine condition.
