Displayed is a 1994 Javy Lopez game worn Atlanta Braves jersey. Lopez, from Puerto Rico, was a Major League catcher from 1992-2003: Atlanta Braves (1992-2003), Baltimore Orioles (2004-06), Boston Red Sox (2006). The 3-time All-Star was on the Atlanta Braves World Champions in 1995. He batted a career .287 with 260 home runs. After his weight ran up to over 245 lbs., Lopez worked on his conditioning and had his best season in 2003. That season he batted .328 with 41 home runs and 109 RBIs.
The offered game worn, short-sleeve, gray jersey has "Atlanta" in sewn-on red letters with blue trim, across the chest. Beneath the team's name is the sewn-on, iconic Braves tomahawk logo. Six silver buttons run down the front. The right sleeve has the sewn-on MLB 125th Anniversary patch. On the lower right outside tail are three tags: Russell Athletic (manufacturer's tag), Diamond Collection tag showing [size] "44," a tag showing "100% polyester." Across the back is a gray, sewn-on name plate with "LOPEZ" sewn-on in blue letters. Beneath the nameplate is "8" in a sewn-on red numeral with blue trim. The lower left, inside tail is stamped "PURCHASED FROM ATLANTA BRAVES." The jersey shows excellent wear, mostly in the form of loose threads, and the jersey is in overall EXCELLENT condition.
