Presented is a an absolutely beautiful Babe Ruth cut signature. The Sultan of Swat smashed 714 home runs, long the highest Major League total, with his smooth left-handed swing. The Bambino, before he became a full-time outfielder, was a great pitcher, one who had a 94-46 career record, a 2.28 lifetime ERA, and who once held the record for consecutive scoreless innings by a pitcher in the World Series, with the lefty throwing 29.2 shutout innings in a row. However, when it came to signatures, Babe Ruth was a right-hander - all the way. Educated at Baltimore's St. Mary's Industrial School for Boys, the Babe was taught to write with his right hand, a common educational practice at the time. Thus, at St. Mary's, Babe learned not only his wonderful, left-handed power swing, and how to play every position, including catcher (as a left-hander), but he learned to write his name right-handed, with the same characteristics as he swung the bat.

Babe Ruth had a big and bold signature, just like his swing. Like his swing, the Babe's signature radiates power at the same time as it projects a flowing smoothness. Ruth signed, using blue ink from a fountain pen. The cut signature is on a 1.9x3.7" piece of white paper or card stock. The cut signature has been encapsulated and has a PSA/DNA Auto Grade of "NM-MT 8." As for the offering, it's quite a prize. Simply put, it's Babe Ruth, and the signature is gorgeous!
