A bat used by infielder Jose Pagan during circa 1965 through 1969. The Louisville Slugger bat is 35.5" long and weighs 32 ounces. The item shows terrific signs of use with ball marks along the barrel and a coat of pine tar on the handle. The bat is uncracked and model U1 is stamped onto the knob. Pagan had the best days of his career in Pittsburgh, where he played from 1965-72, helping the team to win a World Series in 1971. Pagan became a coach and manager after his career and he passed away in 2011 at the age of 76.
