Extraordinary New York Yankees Old Timers Day display featuring the signatures of forty-seven different former Yankees stars, all but one of whom are now deceased. The piece, which appears to have been an insert in the Yankees' 1973 Old Timers Day program, features portrait images of seventy-two Yankees players, both past and present, grouped by position. Each player has signed the piece in the area of his respective photo. The signatures, scripted in a variety of inks, range from 4/10 to 10/10, averaging 8/10. It should be noted that our consignor obtained all the signatures on this piece in person during the 1970s and 1980s. The signatures featured here are those of Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Joe DiMaggio, Yogi Berra, Bill Dickey, Johnny Mize, Phil Rizzuto, Whitey Ford, Lefty Gomez, Waite Hoyt, Joe Sewell, Enos Slaughter, Ben Chapman, George Selkirk, Tom Henrich, Charlie Keller, Johnny Lindell, Gene Woodling, Roy White, Hank Bauer, Bobby Murcer, Whitey Witt, Billy Martin, Bobby Richardson, Gil McDougald, Mark Koenig, Frank Crosetti, Tony Kubek, Tom Tresh, Gene Michael, Joe Dugan, Bill Johnson, Bobby Brown, Clete Boyer, Mel Stottlemyre, Bob Turley, Ed Lopat, Vic Raschi, Allie Reynolds, Spud Chandler, Bob Shawkey, Jake Gibbs, Joe Pepitone, Moose Skowron, Joe Collins, Nick Etten, and Babe Dahlgren.
