Presented is a 1990 Mark Grace Rawlings/Adirondack ash Professional Model Number 256S bat. Grace had a 13-year MLB career: Chicago Cubs (1988-2000), Arizona Diamondbacks (2001-03). A first baseman, Grace had a .303 lifetime average with 2,445 hits and 173 home runs. Grace was a 3-time All-Star, a 4-time Gold Glove winner, and a 2001 World Champion with the Arizona Diamondbacks. In 1990, when Grace used the offered bat, he batted .309.

The offered bat shows great use, and it has a handle crack, and black ball marks. It has a length of 33.5" and a weight of 32.1 ounces. It has a flame burned finish. A number of ball marks are visible. The barrel reads: "BIG STICK/MARK GRACE Professional Model/Rawlings Adirondack." Stamped on the knob: The model number (256S), order number (025) and year (90). Grace's player number (17) and the model number (256S) are written by an unknown hand onto the knob and the top of the barrel in black marker. Also, on the knob; the weight (31.5 ounces) and "Grace" written in ballpoint ink by an unknown hand. The bat comes with a PSA/DNA Certification: 1B33949, with a bat grade: "PSA GU 8.5." The aforementioned LOA is for the bat only. PSA/DNA had no opinion as to the authenticity of the signature.
