1974-75 Michigan Stags WHA advertising display. The face of this display measures 12x16." There are fold-out flaps on the bottom and the sides, that when unfolded, make the display stand up. This display shows signs of use as there are pinholes on the top as it was likely hung on the wall or placed on the countertop at Cobo arena. The poster features a graphic of a goaltender in a Stags jersey, about to snag a puck, beneath the words, "We're in GORDIE HOWE'S League." Below the goalie is the following text, "Season ticket application. When Empty Ask for one." There are two slots beneath the text where it looks like a cardboard holder would have been, to hold the season ticket applications. The holder is missing, but an original piece of tape remains on the display. The display is in very good condition overall. The Michigan Stags played part of the 1974-75 WHA season, before moving to Baltimore in early 1975.
