Displayed is a St. Louis Blues player trunk that is absolutely filled with a fascinating variety of hockey memorabilia from the St. Louis Blues' long-time trainer, Tom Woodcock. The memorabilia includes items involving the St. Louis Blues team, and of both NHL and amateur hockey. Tommy Woodcock, a Rhode Island native, had a brief minor league pro career, and then learned to become a hockey trainer with the Rhode Island Reds, later called the Providence Reds. Later, Woodcock was the hockey trainer for Brown University. He then became the first-ever head trainer for the NHL's St. Louis Blues, before the expansion team even played a game in 1967-68, and he stayed with that franchise for the team's first 16 seasons. Later, Woodcock was the first head trainer for the Hartford Whalers, and he finished his career as the trainer for the San Jose Sharks. Great NHL hockey coach Scotty Bowman, who coached the first-ever St. Louis Blues team, said, "[Woodcock] had great rapport with the players. They trusted him so much." Back when Woodcock broke into the NHL, trainers were also the equipment managers for the team, ordering equipment, sharpening skates, etc., so the job was all-encompassing. While the trunk has a #"4" sticker on top, it is unknown which St. Louis Blues player personally used the trunk because there have been 21 different St. Louis Blues players who wore number 4, the first being Noel Picard. The offered truck actually relates to trainer Tommy Woodcock, and it is full to the brim with Woodcock's hockey memorabilia.

The trunk also has a wide variety of hockey programs, mostly from the Rhode Island/Providence Reds. In addition, many black & white publicity photos for the St. Louis Blues. There are myriad newspaper articles, involving a wide variety of hockey topics. The news articles, photos, and files basically cover Woodcock's full career, from his beginning with the Rhode Island Reds and Brown University through his NHL career.

The trunk measures 12.5x30.5", with a depth of 16.75". The trunk is handprinted in the St. Louis Blues colors, mostly in blue. The top of the truck reads, "St. Louis Blues Hockey Club." The trunk has a leather strap on one hand, and three clips in front for closing and locking the trunk (lock not provided). The trunk has three St. Louis Blues decals. The trunk shows great wear, as it was used for many seasons. There are scratch marks, small dents, surface wear, small spots of paint loss, and chips.
