A ball signed by 1940s New York Yankees star second baseman George "Snuffy" Stirnweiss. The player has signed the ball "Best Wishes, George 'Snuffy' Stirnweiss" in blue ink on the sweet spot. Stirnweiss died at the age of 39 in a Newark, New Jersey train crash, making his signature quite rare. It was also unusual for him to sign his entire name, making the ball even more scarce. The second baseman played for the Giants and Indians, but was most remembered for his tenure with the Yankees that saw him win three World Series titles and make two All-Star games. He also led the American League in hitting and stolen bases in 1945. Full LOA from PSA.
