Official American League (Johnson) baseball signed by outfielder and American evangelist Billy Sunday. Sunday's signature has been scripted in blue ink with a steel-tip fountain pen across the sweet spot and grades 7/10. Sunday played 8 years of Major League baseball as an outfielder before becoming an extremely popular evangelist and preacher. Given Sunday's circumstances, his single-signed baseballs are very difficult to obtain for collectors. This is just the second we have ever offered and we cannot recall having seen more than one or two others in the past twenty-five years. This ball dates to the 1925-27 manufacturing period, which means that it was signed during the final years of Sunday's life (he died in 1935). The ball is in very good to excellent condition.
