Official National League (Heydler) baseball signed in black fountain pen by twenty-two members of the 1931 World Champion St. Louis Cardinals, including Frisch, Bottomley, Haines, Hafey, Grimes (sweet spot), Street (Mgr., sweet spot), Douthit, Blades, High, Johnson, Gelbert, Fisher, Orsatti, Wilson, Wares (coach), Lindsey, Rhem, Adams, Watkins, and Mancuso. Signatures range from 1/10 to 7/10, averaging 5/10. This ball was most likely signed in spring training of 1931 because George Fisher did not make the club that year. The ball was once mounted in a framed display and has a strip of adhesive residue that stretches across the ball label into each of the adjacent side panels (touching upon the signatures of Bottomley, Mancuso, and Watkins). The ball also has been coated with a light layer of protective shellac, which has flaked off in several areas. Full LOA from PSA.
