A bat used by former New York Yankees All-Star Don Mattingly in the late 1980s. The Louisville Slugger model T141 bat is 34" long and weighs 36.8 ounces. The bat features a coat of pine tar on the handle and shows minor signs of use. The player's number 23 is written on the knob in black marker. The item will be accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from PSA. One of the biggest stars of the 1980s, Mattingly was a six-time All Star and won the 1985 American League MVP Award before a back condition caused him to retire early. He has since moved into coaching, managing both the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Miami Marlins.
