Presented is a circa 1980 Jean Pronovost Washington Capitals game worn jersey that originates from a former Capitals trainer and is attributed to preseason or tournament play, not for play during the NHL regular season. Pronovost, a right wing, played 14 NHL seasons: Pittsburgh Penguins (1968-78), Atlanta Flames (1978-80), Washington Capitals (1980-82). A top scorer, he notched at least 40 goals in four seasons and had 391 goals and 383 assists for 774 career points. In his two final NHL seasons, Pronovost played a full season for Washington in 1980-81, scoring 22 goals and adding 36 assists for 58 points, and he played ten games for the Capitals in 1981-82, scoring a goal and a pair of assists. Jean Pronovost had two older brothers who also played in the NHL: Marcel and Claude Pronovost. The white knit jersey has red and blue trim.
