1980 Mark Wells USA men's Olympic hockey professional model jersey. This red, white, and blue, vintage hockey jersey was produced by Norcon. There is a white patch sewn into the front left tag of the jersey that reads, "Norcon, NORCON, MFG. CO., FOREST LAKE, MINN." A laundry tag with the Norcon name is also present in the inside neck area. Sewn into the inside neck area behind the Norcon tag is a tag that reads, "klb Hockey Centre, LTD." Each letter of USA is individually stitched into the front of the mostly-white jersey. The letters are blue with a thin red outline. Wells's number 15 is sewn into the top right sleeves of the jersey, and a white star is sewn into each of the shoulder areas. The back of the jersey includes a "WELLS" nameplate, white letters on a blue background, above number 15. Wells was best known for playing for Team USA in the Miracle on Ice game. The game featured one of the biggest upsets in sports history when Team USA defeated the Soviet Union, 4-3 on February 22, 1980. This jersey was not used, but is just like those that were worn by the players on the famous 1980 Olympic hockey team. This is a vintage jersey and not a modern-day reproduction.
