Two (2) programs and 13 coasters from a 1939 Testimonial Dinner held in honor of Hall of Fame catcher Gabby Hartnett. The event was held in Norwalk, Connecticut, on Monday, August 21st, 1939. The still-intact programs are green and feature an image of Hartnett, then a player/manager for the Chicago Cubs. The coasters feature a headshot of Hartnett against a baseball background. Hartnett was a long-time member of the Cubs, making the All-Star team 6 times and winning the National League MVP Award in 1935. Hartnett was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1955 and passed away in 1972.
