Ty Cobb multi-signed baseball with Bill Russell, Celtics greats, Joe Cronin, and others. We are able to date this ball to 1956-59, which is Bill Russell rookie era. Even though the President stamp is not visible on this Official Reach baseball, we know it's a Harridge ball since the "Official" font changed in 1960 when Joe Cronin's President stamp graced American League baseballs. Bill Russell's rookie year of 1956 and the final year of Harridge baseballs in 1959 allows us to pinpoint the signatures to that time period. Ball has been signed by Ty Cobb on the side panel. The ball is also signed by Major League Baseball Hall of Famers Joe Cronin, Bucky Harris, and Curt Gowdy. Several Boston Celtics basketball players also signed the ball, including Frank Ramsey, Bill Sharman (on the sweet spot), Tom Heinsohn, and most importantly, Bill Russell.
