Presented is a mid-1980s Kirk Gibson game worn batting helmet. There is an American Baseball Cap (ABC), 7 1/8 size sticker inside of the helmet. "23" is also written inside the helmet, on the padding, in black ink. The Tigers helmet is royal blue and features the "D" logo on the front. The helmet shows excellent signs of use, and all the original padding inside of the helmet remains intact. Gibson made his Major League debut in 1979 for the Tigers. His last year with the Tigers was 1987. He then went on to play for the Dodgers, and hit one of the most famous walk-off home runs in baseball history during Game 1 of the 1988 World Series.
