The 1927 Philadelphia Athletics were an amazingly star-studded team with its own constellation of Hall of Famers. Offered is a '27 Philadelphia A's team signed Official American League Ball (Johnson) with twenty-five signatures, with seven Hall of Fame autos, including that of Ty Cobb. In that '27 season, the Athletics finished in second place in the AL. Al Simmons batted .392, Ty Cobb hit .357, Mickey Cochrane batted .338, and pitcher Lefty Grove was 20-13. Hall of Famers' signatures: Ty Cobb, Jimmie Foxx, Eddie Collins, Mickey Cochrane, Al Simmons, Lefty Grove, and manager Connie Mack. Keys: Kid Gleason (coach) Max Bishop, Jimmy Dykes, Cy Perkins, Jack Quinn. Also, Sweet Spot: Jing Johnson, Ed Rommel, Sammy Hale. Also, Rube Walberg, Walter French, Joe Boley, Earle Mack (coach), and William "Baby Doll" Jacobson, who only played on the Athletics in '27, plus more signatures. The signatures were made in blue/black ink with a steel-tip fountain pen. The ball has a few spots, yet it is in very good condition, but the autos include a number of faint or illegible signatures. The signatures rate 6/10 overall. The signed ball comes with a JSA LOA.
