Red-and-black stitched baseball signed in black fountain pen by eight members of the 1928-29 New York Yankees. Although only eight signatures are evident, fortunately, two of those belong to Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig. Ruth's signature sits upon the sweet spot, while Gehrig's signature appears on a side panel, with both grading 3/10 overall. The six other legible signatures (grading either 1/10 and 2/10) on the ball are those of Earle Combs, Bob Meusel, Art Fletcher (coach), Eddie Bennett (bat boy), George Burns, and Gene Robertson, (both Burns and Robertson played with the Yankees only in 1928 and 1929). The ball is darkly toned and displays numerous heavy abrasions. No manufacturer's stampings are legible. Poor to Fair condition. Full LOA from JSA.
