Displayed is a 1974-75 John Roche ABA Kentucky Colonels game used warm-up jacket. Roche, a 6'3" guard, was a 2-time consensus All-American at the University of South Carolina. He played eight seasons in the ABA & NBA: New York Nets (1971-74); Kentucky Colonels (1974-75); Utah Stars (1975); Los Angeles Lakers (1976); Denver Nuggets (1979-82). The gap in his professional career between 1976-79 was because he was in law school. When he resumed his pro career in 1979, he became the only NBA player who played in the NBA as a licensed attorney. His lifetime ABA/NBA scoring average was 11.2 PPG. In 1974-75, when the offered warm-up jacket was game used, he averaged 3.9 PPG. He played the bulk of the 1974-75 season with the Utah Stars. The knit warmup jacket has the unique Kentucky Colonels logo, with a red, white, and blue basketball within a stylized blue "K" sewn-on the left chest. Seven blue metal, working, snap buttons run down the front. Sewn on the lower mid-inside tail: A Rawlings manufacturer's tag showing size "42"; an "11" tag showing Roche's uniform number, a tag giving washing instructions. Each sleeve has blue trim. Across the back is "KENTUCKY," in blue sewn-on letters. The warm-up exhibits light use, and it is in EXCELLENT condition.
