Presented is the highest graded PSA ticket stub for the 1916 World Series between the Boston Red Sox and the Brooklyn Robins in Braves Field, with the ticket good for all the World Series games in Boston. The Boston Red Sox played all of the team's World Series home games at Braves Field in '16, as it had a larger capacity than that of Fenway Park. The Red Sox won Games 1,2, and 5 at home and Game 4 at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn, winning the Series in 5 games. Boston's Babe Ruth started and threw a complete game win in a 14-inning victory in Game 2, giving up a run in the first inning and then throwing 13 straight shutout innings to start his then record-breaking consecutive scoreless innings pitched in a World Series that would eventually reach 29.2 innings in 1918. The Red Sox won the Series in a 4-1 victory in Game 5. Hall of Famers Harry Hooper and Hugh Duffy batted .333 and .353 to lead the Boston hitters in the Series while Hall of Famer Casey Stengel was the Brooklyn batting star, hitting .364. Hall of Famers in the Series for the Red Sox: Harry Hooper, Herb Pennock (DNP), and Babe Ruth. Hall of Famers for the Robins: Wilbert Robertson (manager), Rube Marquard, Casey Stengel (in HOF as manager), and Zack Wheat. The ticket stub measures approx. 1.5x1.6". It has been encapsulated and PSA graded "VG-EX 4." The ticket was valid for Series Games 1, 2, and 5 at Braves Field, and it could have been presented to obtain a ticket for World Series Game 7 (Braves Field Game 4), if necessary. In part, the ticket stub reads, "1st BASE STAND RESERVED WORLD SERIES BRAVES FIELD." Remember, this 1916 Braves Field multi-game ticket stub is the only PSA one at this level, NONE HIGHER OR EQUAL.
