A 34x41" poster advertising the June 17, 1954 fight between Rocky Marciano and Ezzard Charles held at Yankee Stadium in New York, New York. The yellow poster, which was hung on-site, features original folds and is exceedingly rare. The piece features both Charles and Marciano in fighting stances. The poster shows some tape stains and surface wear with pieces missing on the borders, but has bold color and print with clear images. The fight was the third title defense for Champion Marciano against the bruising veteran Charles. The fight would go 15 rounds and is considered to be one of the toughest of Marciano's career. A veteran of 121 fights, Charles would pass away in 1975 at the age of 53. Marciano, who retired undefeated in 49 fights, died in a plane crash in August of 1969.
