Offered is a signed International Boxing Hall of Fame photo with the signatures of eight of the most famous World Champions of all time. In the top row center of the 7.9x9.9" photo is Muhammad Ali, known as "the Greatest." Born as Cassius Clay, he later changed his name. Ali was the Ring magazine World Heavyweight Champion from 1974-78, the undisputed World Heavyweight Champion from 1974-78, and the WBA and Ring World Champion from 1978-79. Interestingly, Ali signed the offering as "Cassius Clay," a courtesy he was known to extend to those who requested that he sign with his earlier name. To Ali's left is Emile Griffith, who held the World Welterweight Championship 2-times and the World Middleweight Championship 2-times. To Griffith's left is Bob Foster. The signature immediately over Foster's photograph is stamped. Foster's actual signature is in the upper right corner. Foster was a long-reigning World Light Heavyweight Champion. To Foster's left is Archie Moore, the longest-reigning World Light Heavyweight Champion of all time (1952-62). Seated, third from the left, is Kid Gavilan, a flashy, crowd-pleasing fighter who was a World Welterweight Champion. To Gavilan's left is Willie Pep, born Guglielmo Papaleo, in Connecticut. He was a longtime World Featherweight Champion. To Pep's left is Jake LaMotta, the World Middleweight Champion from 1949-51. His nickname was "Raging Bull." LaMotta fought by getting close in and pummeling his opponent. A movie about his life, Raging Bull, was directed by Martin Scorsese and starred Robert DeNiro as LaMotta, and DeNiro, who had trained extensively with LaMotta to prepare for the filming, won an Academy Award as Best Actor. On the left of LaMotta is Carman Basilio, who at different times held both the World Welterweight Championship and the World Middleweight Championship. The signatures are in black marker, except for Basilio's, which is in blue marker. The signatures are bold and clearly written. The offering comes with a PSA LOA for the signatures.
