Presented is a 1947-66 Exhibit Supply Company Western Aces unopened factory package of 500 cards. A Chicago firm, the Exhibit Supply Company produced "Exhibit Cards," oversized black & white photos usually measuring the size of a postcard, 3.5x5.5", but often slightly smaller. Many baseball exhibit cards were produced by the Exhibit Supply Company, but the firm also produced cards of other subjects, including movie stars. The cards usually had a facsimile autograph on front. The Western Aces set comprised over 400 exhibit cards, usually blank on the back. The Western Aces cards usually had a playing card motif, often with an "ace" card of any suit, but also with picture and number cards of any suit framing the black & white photo on the front. The set includes over 400 movie stars who had appeared in Western films including John Wayne, Roy Rogers, Dale Evans, Gene Autry, Hugh O'Brian, James Garner, Robert Wagner, Robert Horton, Robert Culp, Andy Devine, Lash LaRue, Rory Calhoun, Gabby Hayes, Gene Barry, and many more.
